Dr Lata Marina Varghese, with 27 years of teaching and research experience, is the HOD & Director of Post Graduate Department of English & Centre for Research, Baselius College, Kottayam, Kerala. She is also Research Guide in English of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. She has, to her credit, over 62 published research papers in reputed peer reviewed journals, in anthologies of reputed book firms and in conference proceedings. She has authored two books: the first Wuthering Heights and The God of Small Things - A Thematic/Stylistic Comparison was published by YKing Publishers, Jaipur, India in 2013 and her second book on A Room of One's Own: Women and Land Rights in Literature and Society was published by Cambridge Scholars, UK in 2015. Dr Lata Marina is a Resource person in the Academic Staff College in Kerala & Calicut University and CUSAT. She is a UGC Trained Resource person of "Capacity Building of Women Managers in Higher Education". She has attended International conferences at the University of Paris-Sorbonne, France, University of Southampton, UK and ICRD, Sri Lanka.
