This paper examines how Stephen King’s 11/22/63 and The Dark Tower series make use of ideas found in quantum fiction — including time loops, alternate dimensions, and portal travel -- to create a multiverse that subverts conventional linear conceptions of reality. His works actively integrate principles of quantum mechanics, exploring concepts such as parallel universes, time dilation, and the inherent uncertainty of observation, often challenging classical notions of a singular, deterministic reality. This literary approach often destabilises realist aesthetics and classical paradigms of reality by presenting intricate or repetitive plot structures that juxtapose characters' life stories across parallel universes. This can manifest as narratives featuring alternate histories, where different choices lead to divergent timelines, or as stories where characters navigate multiple, simultaneously existing dimensions. Such narratives not only entertain but also prompt readers to reconsider the fundamental nature of existence, often employing techniques like intertextuality and metaphysical exploration to deepen their philosophical inquiry, and the impact continues to exist outside of the collective cultural consciousness. The study reveals that King's multiverse endeavours toward philosophical inquiry and postmodern narrative. Exploring temporal disturbances in 11/22/63 and the metaphysical structure of The Dark Tower, the article argues that King’s fiction offers significant insights into current literary notions of reality, memory and cause and effect.
