About the Journal
Journal of English Language Teaching (JELT)
ISSN: 0973-5208 (Print)
The Journal of English Language Teaching (JELT), published by the English Language Teachers' Association of India (ELTAI), is the official and flagship publication of ELTAI. Established in 1965 (prior to the formation of the association in 1969 and its formal registration in 1974), this 60-year-old journal has consistently served as a professional forum for English language educators and researchers across various educational levels to share pedagogical insights, theoretical perspectives, and classroom practices, thereby supporting professional development and reflective teaching.
JELT is an international, double-blind, peer-reviewed journal published on a bimonthly basis. It aims to facilitate the academic and professional exchange of ideas among English language teachers, teacher educators, and researchers in the field of English studies.
Financially supported by ELTAI, the journal does not levy any publication or access charges. Print copies are distributed free of cost to all registered ELTAI members, while the digital version is freely accessible on the association’s official website.
